KAPIT - Three men aged between 30 and 50 years had been detained by the police on suspicion of being involved in three incidents of road blockade at a logging camp here on 6 July.
This was disclosed by the head of the Criminal Investigation Bureau here Inspector Chan to the press on Saturday morning.
The trio have been remanded for 14 days to assist the police investigation into a report alleging their involvement in the blockades at Mujong areas a few days ago.
Earlier, it was reported that the trio had blocked a road in a timber concession area in Baleh and demanded money as much as RM500 from vehicles for passing through the blockade.
It was also reported earlier that three other blockades were staged at a timber concession area at Mujong and at each blockade point, vehicles were charged between RM50 and RM150 for passing through.
