2000 Wheel/Suspension Setup
Considering the damage done to my old 17" Type T's and the cost to repair them $300, I decided it would make more sense for me to purchase a new set of wheels and be more careful. Of course, after running the 17's I felt fairly sure that I could manage 18's. Quality of ride has actually improved over the 17's, though this may have more to do with the new SofSport Springs than with the 18's. Tires may also have something to do with it as my old 17's sported Sumitomo's while the 18's are running Dunlop's. Overall I am very impressed with the wheels. If you are running 17's the ride difference is negligible stepping up to 18's. The difference in tire prices can be as little as $20 per tire, and with a little more care in your daily driving, you should have no problems. Take a look at the new setup and feel free to e-mail me with any questions. |
